Taiwanese Mill
Not a bad looking single phase vertical mill on eBay... too far away for me

Really? $1800 for a Chinese round column mill with no powerfeeds? While it might be perceived as adequate for many home shops, I don't reckon it is any benchmark for value. Not by a long shot.
That said, I too am guilty of listing things on ebay for a large fraction of their acquisition costs. But I never ask more than 50% of retail, usually much, much less.

That general type of mill isn't bad. I found one for a friend of mine some years ago for $1500 but it was 3 phase & had power feed. Taiwanese manufacture. Quite a nice machine really. This one - yeah, I think $1800 is pushing it but I'd rather have one of these than any of the non-knee mills. Dead easy to fit a riser block to increase Z clearance too.
It's already been listed once at that price & got no bids at all.
FWIW It's not a Chinese machine, it's made in Taiwan.

I didn't see the BIN price but if it was $1300 and I was looking for a new lathe, that would of been a good gamble. I reckon it'll go for twice that price.
