Hi Joe,
Im tending to agree that they are the same machine, and I tried to match the paint splatter ( or are they scratch marks?) but the pictures aren't quite good enough to be positive.
The most positive match seems to be the wear and markings on the chipboard.. CSI Ebay...
Why would you go to so much trouble, with different descriptions (pretending it's dynabolted to the floor and so on..) and different sellers to pretend they are different machines if it wasn't some kind of scam?
Weird
Regards
Ray

The machine has definitely been moved between the two photos.... the cable conduit is hanging differently, it has the same broken conduit connector at the switch box and the white mark on the front of the flange where the column is inserted is in the same spot - too much of a coincidence I'd say....

After that drill press went for 5k some time ago maybe he had high hopes and when he realized his dreams where shattered he bailed on the sale.......

I'm beginning to think this is a case of circumstantial evidence, leading to a hanging...
They are different machines...
The broken conduit, is a common enough thing, I'd bet a pretty fair percentage of the population of Waldown's of this model also have broken conduits, The wear pattern on the chip board, isn't conclusive either, since the usage patterns for all drill presses would be similar, so you'd expect holes in roughly the same sort of places, the black vertical mark at the front on both, don't know.
The position of the cable entry to the motor is below the level of the switch box on one, and above the switch box on the other, different camera angles maybe part of it, but, I'm back to thinking these machines are different...
The defense rests you honor...
Regards
Ray
PS The corner radius on the trays looks different too.

I reckon you are looking at the wrong cable entry Ray.
Cheers.

The most interesting thing for me is that $1350 for a 3 phase drill press is probably way too much. I can't see too many people wanting to wire up a 3 phase machine like that these days. As said to me by a machinery dealer, pretty much all the drill presses sold these days (at least for home use) are single phase because it's plug and play. Even though I have 3 phase in the shed I wouldn't buy a 3 phase drill unless it was a ridiculously low price. For me 3 phase is for machines that are rated over 2kW. Everything else is single phase or run from a VFD.

Mmmm The photography isn't anywhere near BTs standard, but I'd say he has some paint of the right colour to touch up the old girl. He might be pushing it a bit for space though, unless he gets permission to convert the lounge or dining room.
Myself, - I don't have that problem at all, the matter of the $11,000 counts me out!

I have been watching Hardinge prices in the UK for awhile now...i have seen them go as
Ow as 1100 quid, roughish. I wonder if he'll get a taker at that price? If I was shopping it might be tempting to get a metric HLVH for under ten K landed. On the other hand a nice looking DSG 13X40 sold on local ebay for $600 BIN last week. It was listed for less than two hours.
