Thanks Stuart, if they are slow to adjust then it isn't really what I'm after. I doubt much can be done with my current vice. It has very loose castings and isn't of the dovetail-slide style. I'm pretty sure it's just a hobbyist's woodworking vice.

There are lots of other vices up for auction although most are already up around $130. I'll ponder it.

R.C.- she's getting a set of carbide boring tools for Mothers' Day.

I seem to recall it pn ebay for ten thousand a couple of years ago. At the time I thought it an ambitious ask. 25k is right out of the ball park. You could land a low hour Eisen for less at the moment. Or anything short of a Schaublin 135 for that matter. Monarch 10EE, Hardinge HLVH I/M, etc etc.

Bit expensive? Now that must be the understatement of the week....It had better be in a much better condition than it looks at that price, and come with vice....

Spotted this Mill outside the center of the know universe, i might go have a look, just because. Not that i have any money, and really, if i buy a second mill i would rather it be a universal head or a twin like the one Phil (steamwhisperer) is looking at. eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

Probably the cheapest boring and facing head I have seen sell on ebay AU Mitzoguchi universal boring and facing head | eBay

I think the poor description and presentation had a lot to do with it....

    So did you buy it?

I thought about bidding on it but decided that I simply didn't need it right now compared with a lot of other things that I do need.
