This Brown & sharpe is an interesting one with the angle on one end, never seen or heard of this design, however it would be a very handy piece of equipment to own.
A little bit on the expensive side !
Yes Bruce, I thought it interesting too, with the etched curves calibrating the square to measure the amount a workpiece was out of square. As you said, a bit expensive for the average hobbyist. Regards,
    Rob.

No one in Australia is going to buy it, but there is a seriously cool 3.6 tonne cast iron surface plate on US ebay at the moment. The production dates in one of the photos are interesting, there was more than a 6 year time span from pouring to finishing.

    Another project for you Ueee.

Cranked tailstock with ratchet locking? No mention of a 3 jaw chuck! Be handy for a watchmaker.

Something fishy about this picture. It's sharply focused, well lit and the machine and setting are both clean. Very un-Ebay.
Stonking lathe though - and price. ($100K for the record)

It sure is big, 46" x 108". I was thinking today though, what the rpm would be required to spin 46" with a surface speed of 100 fpm. Works out to be 8 rpm, now that is slow, and with 60hp behind it the torque would be incredible.

A personal plug - I need to shift my T&C grinder. I have it on ebay -
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/tool-and-...item338d07de84, although the pricing is better in the forum market place.

Looks very nice. I will keep my eye on it, but I doubt it will stay in my price range. Pickup won't be required.
