There has been a copy of these cases sold at Bunnings and they are cheap.I bought on for $40 to use as a travelling toolbox and it would be almost as indestructible .Came in a few sizes.

If someone does end up with Lot 425 and doesn't actually need 3 Depth Mic's I would be interested in the small one on the top at a fair price. For my grinder it would be better in metric but still handy.

Those cases look like a great deal, plus you can customise them yourself instead of messing with someone else's cast-offs.

Knowing zip about grinder ops, what do you use a depth mic for?

In my case Greg it is for grinding a blade with its face in the centre of a piece off HSS.Also blades with known dimensions such as the photo. This is on a Universal Tool and Cutter Grinder.

I would help you out if I was closer to the location . Looks like there are enough dial gauges there for all of us

There are a lot of them. Any not marked Mitutoyo are Federal. There is one lot of seven Mahr-Federal dial gauges. Imperial divisions, but I did not note the resolution.

Default Blown out of the water

I cannot believe the prices that some of the lots fetched at the LTQ auction. I was hoping to get a 24" vernier height gauge for circa $150. Someone paid almost $550 for it with premiums.

I ended up paying slightly too much for a 24" vernier calliper just to have a memento.

Yes, that was a bit of a blow out, bargains were a bit thin on the ground, even Pelican cases weren't all that cheap, considering... still they come with a lifetime replacement guarantee...

Now that I've got a Turbine measurement system, I need to find some turbines...

It is interesting watching those auctions... Saw a couple of surface grinders sell this afternoon.... Under $500 each, one a small power the other a 24" TOS...
