    Default tos LATHE

To me, this looks like a seriously nice lathe. The downside is, no camlock chuck , it has a threaded nose

Now that is one rare bird.. I have your high quality scan (thanks for the effort), but it is hard to resist being able to hold a copy in my hand. I wonder what the final price might get to? $200?

I would be all over this if it were a VHF-3. But looks like a 2. So no quill and only X power feed. Still a really cool versatile machine for someone.. http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/281594600455

Agh caught! The Seller must have updated the description when they relisted the item. They also added a few extra photos. I was under the impression the 3 had a quill? Comparing photos made me think it was a 2. Reading on Tonys site I see the quill was an option which is a bit of a bugger. A really nice machine however!

Another edit.. Looks like a 2 from http://www.lathes.co.uk/abene/index.html - see the buttons and control box? The photos of 3's look different http://www.lathes.co.uk/abene/page4.html

Wouldnt touch it, look at what he is using to adjust the slide head,no one knows what other type of rough hand antics may of been used on this machine.

I'll have to think about that - for me, that book is a tax deduction and I'm thinking I could do with some very substantial ones, given the 5 figure payment I just made.....

Perhaps I need a Boley lathe too....
