    On closer inspection of the photos this thing is a monster.
    The counter weights for the cross rail look to be huge.
    14 ft x 3 ft table this thing has got to be ?20 tonne plus.
    Foundations alone would send you broke
    Can't see it going anywhere but scrap unfortunately

    I would have guessed 15+ tonnes... Maybe 20 tonnes...

    It is DC motor driven by a ward leonard unit.. It is US built..

    Sold for $1650 plus BP/GST = $2000.
    Would cost more to move it and way more to set it up.
    Went to Dandenong in Vic.
    Sure would love to see it in full flight!

    The buyer SK from Dandenong is quite a common bidder on Grays... I would think s/he is either a dealer or a scrap merchant..
