Universal Mill on Grays
There was a Universal Mill, listed by ACY, sold on Grays today.
I was going to watch it, but events dragged me away from a computer.
Can anyone advise what price it went for ?
It looked nice.
Are there any details as to condition etc ?
John.

Sure did look nice assuming you mean the Maho MH700 which went for $1500.. http://www.graysonline.com/lot/0357-5011295/
I was almost going to bid, but could not bring myself to do it given the imminent arrival of a new family member..
Oh, and the fact I have a sneaking suspicion that it might have an MT4 and not a 40 taper spindle.

No, the one I saw listed was not that referenced in the link.
The mill listed was a true universal with rotating table, horizontal spindle and vertical spindle.
It seemed to have several accessories and I thought it was an ISO40.
It peeked my interest, especially since a friend is looking for a universal, but funds are a bit dry at the moment.
It is always nice to know what the market is doing.

Did go over to ACY yesterday as I had to see someone across the street - and haven't been checking Grays, so didn't realize there was an auction. Seems all their Victor lathe stuff went to the scrapper, change gears, leadscrews, even headstocks...no parts in Oz anymore.

Thanks guys, the Metalexport was the mill.
Just as well that I was not on a computer at the time, I think I would have some explaining to do to my wife.
