    Default Brown Pine?

Someone offered to sell me what he called "Brown Pine." I've never heard of it and I couldn't find anything on the net either.
Has anyone heard of brown pine before?

Its not a true Pine (Pinus) but a Podocarp (another native softwood). A Soft lightweight brown wood with inconspicuous features eg growth ring ... details below

    Podocarpus elatus (brown pine) description

"The wood has a straight grain with inconspicuous growth rings, and is used for fine work including furniture, kitchen utensils, musical instruments (piano keys and violin bellies) and wood turning"
