    Default A little help, please

I'm trying to figure out what this timber is and would appreciate some help. The tree is located in Forest Glen which is a suburb of the Sunshine Coast in South East QLD. There are quite a few blackbutt and Tallowwood trees on the property but I don't think it is either. The trunk was fully covered in the dark bark seen in the photo. Note the dark growth rings. I've also included a photo of a piece I've cut and stored. The heart wood has a slight pinky tone with very light sap wood. The sap wood can be seen in the top right hand corner of the cut piece. I've also found that it is easy to work with very little tendency to tare out. I also have not found any gum veins.

I'm afraid that I don't recall what the leaves looked like before the tree was cut down.
    Thanks
