    Default Is this Monkey wood?

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone might know what this wood is? It was made into a small box and the owner thought it might be monkey wood (he was from the US)? I was quite taken with the look of it, although I'm not sure if it's something available in Australia?

    Thanks

Looks like 1/4 cut Northern Silky Oak or something similar to me.
