Newbie trying to identify pink and black wood
Hi, I hope I can learn to make these requests better as I go. This weekend I rescued a PNG rosewood desk and then this table top. I have no idea where it could come from but it is denser than pine but lighter than iron bark. Any help and advice (better posting) greatly appreciated.

3 & 4 are looking at the end grain
5 & 6 are looking at the same wood type but with some treatment of some type
