timber species please
trying to identify this timber,i have 3 boards, 2.5mx 190x 30, i bought at a timber dealer, mid nth coast NSW about 18 years ago,the salesman didn't or couldn't identify, timber is very straight, no knots , my best bet is Queensland Kauri Pine thanks ,Ross

Hi Arron, thanks for your reply. first photo is a piece of figured Queensland Walnut , second is a piece all most certainly the same as my boards in question, placed on the QW. Unfortuneately my sense of smell left the building some time ago so no help there. Any second thoughts or other informed opinions ? thanks Ross

The first one looks like New Guinea Walnut to me.
