Dremel Pattern Bits
Can anyone advise a where I can buy "pattern bits" to suit a Dremel 3000?
Will be used for shaping mdf and thin pine for a large dolls house project.
Any recommendations/advice would be appreciated.
Regards

I only know of two bits from Dremel that will follow an edge like a bearing bit and they are both round over bits. As far as I have searched, there aren’t any pattern bits available for this shank size.
I build instruments and I use a trim router for pattern work, I wish there were bits available for the Dremel.

Dremel Router Bits
Sorry, it was a bit vague.
I was hoping there is a bearing router bit to fit a Dremel 3000 (3.2mm shank) that would follow a template. I have bearing router bits for my Triton router but they're probably a bit too big for some delicate work I'm planning to do on dolls house windows, architraves other bits and pieces.
I also have the Dremel bits without a bearing that may be OK if I can avoid burning, a bit of trial and error required on my part.
I'll post some photos on my progress in a week or too.
Thanks for the prompt responses
Robert.

Thanks Cal, was hoping I could buy a Dremel router bit with a bearing, I have the ones without the bearing shown on your reply and I may get the Amana one when I get a spare "arm and leg".

Dont be too hasty.
I did exactly this work (dollshouses) and used 3.125mm carbide bits from China to do exactly this.
The "secret" is using the shaft as the "bearing". I use exactly the same technique for doing pattern cutouts for my "castles" and stand-alone puppet theatres. Aldav sold me some 6mm carbide bits for the router table and they were magic - EXACTLY the same principle
I used plenty of suction to clean the dust, but it had the most excellent side-effect of keeping that side surface rubbing the MDF/pine nice and cool. No scorching.
Mount it in as far as it can go (to keep the amount of shaft exposed to a minimum) and try to get the distance from the bottom of the cutters just a smidgeon above the material being cut.
HUHAO on AliExpress --> 1pc 3.175mm CNC Router Bits 2 Flutes Spiral End Mills
These dudes have bits that are excellent - spiral, straight, up and down... full length and part length cutting surfaces.
The "2LX3.10" at $1.53 each with free post is a champ.
Bee knees. Cheap too.
Highly recommend.
