    Default Brushcutter Cord

    Hey Guys,
Just wondering what cord people are using, I've got a 32cc straight shaft brushcutter.
I bought some Powerfit 2.4mm reinforced core line from Bunnings, made in the USA so I thought it would be good but it's crap - wears out at a stupid rate even in light grass.
The bargain shelf $1 a roll stuff I used on my old 25cc brushcutter lasted longer.
What's a decent cord, something durable.
    Cheers

Industrial strength Saber Cut from Bunnings is all I use these days. Have tried most of the others, and get best performance out of this stuff. Available in 2mm or 2.7mm thickness (I use the thicker) and comes in a 210m roll at that thickness. I have a Ryobi battery edge trimmer and a Stihl petrol bent shaft grass cutter, and I use the same cord in both.

We use one of these on our Makita Trimer, works very well, I hate having to wind cord on to my line trimmer,

Trail blazer or diamond edge are the best. Two different local mower shops recommend them to me, both are Honda and Stihl suppliers and even stock the Stihl, Husq + other cords but they both told me those 2 are what most professionals use. I have used both and tbh I cant tell a difference, I dont think the cross section made a difference. I find the noise from the diamond edge to be more irritating.

I got a roll of that Saber Cut from Bunnings, had to get the 3mm as my local was nil stock on the 2.4 & 2.7 and it's bloody brilliant.
Using 2.4mm Power Fit I'd be feeding line out 6 or 7 times to do my little yard, the Saber Cut I did everything, up against the fences and along the paths and I barely wore 10mm off the end of it.
The 150m roll will be a lifetime supply for me but it's great stuff.
Thanks for putting me on to it.

Reviving an old thread but wanted to give some feedback
I changed over to this cord about a month ago after using another USA made brand for a few years ( can’t recall the brand) and this is definitely a better product. I love it.
