Phalaenopsis
This miniature opened yesterday
Phalaenopsis variety
They really do thrive in the tropics
Particularly when mounted on Red Cedar boards
One of my favourite orchids

That's a beauty. I am always looking for orchids for SWMBO as she has an orchid garden, but we may be too dry here west of Toowoomba for your variety.

A nice specimen, bit extravagant using Red Cedar as a mounting board. They really are a great species for dabbler gardners like us. This one we accidently broke off the flower spike while moving other plants. They keep as a cut flower for an amazingly long time, about three weeks iirc.
