Default Using (blue) steel for landscaping

With the accepted broad use of raw steel as edging I was wondering whether to use (non-gal) blue as support posts for some treated pine vegie gardens that will terrace down a rather steep slope. The soil is sandy and therefore well draining and I rather like the rusty finish. Apart from being cheaper I can cut lengths off a 6m piece as required. Any thoughts on longevity from users that have had these in the ground for an extended period?

Should last 3-5 years depending on what is in the soil, why not use treated pine posts
