One More Night Sleep - Well Almost
As most of you would be aware today is the 24th of December and tomorrow will be Christmas Day.
Normally there is excitement and anxious anticipation of spending the day in my shed/garage/work shop. Ah the simplest of joy of slicing up a piece of wood on the Triton table saw. But this year I have committed to visiting a friends house for what I thought was lunch. As I found out this morning it will be dinner.
Yes that's right I will be spending the majority of my day at the friend house for Christmas.
I am trying to convince myself that this is not so bad I might be able to assist with the cooking? After all, since I have started cooking with the preparation of actual peeling and slicing raw food, as opposed to the usually expected bachelor ways of opening a cardboard box. I think I have gotten pretty good at cooking. Not that I am saying I no longer cut myself with the knife just that it does not happen as often.
So this year I will be attending Christmas day at a friends house, chatting, eating and might even partake in a solitary drink.
But come the 26th of December when the hoards of people attend the boxing day shopping I will be back in my shed/garage/work shop doing what I love to do, CREATING(sawdust) and listening to the cricket.

Hey Christos
How did your dinner at your friends end up? Worth the time out of the shed?

Well...........
It was good a day. There were people sleeping on both the couches, the lounge chair all while waiting for the food to be cooked. I just sat watching TV and getting up now and then to munch on some of the dip. I had to careful not to eat too much as there were so much food served during dinner.
I trust your Christmas went well?

Yeah, lunch with the missus' family which is the normal drill. What I always look forward to is getting home asap to just chill. I'm on a highly restricted diet for some health issues so the normal pigging out didn't occur. Nice to not feel bloated all afternoon. This is the first Christmas period ever where I actually lost weight! I allowed myself a few beers after many weeks off the drink so that was a bit of a treat.
Back to work tomorrow . I have spent heaps of time in the garage over my break and really getting it sorted out, to the point where it's becoming a good workspace.
I hope you have a great 2015 in the shed.
