Never mind the quality, feel the width....

The design wall has been mentioned in a couple of discussions elsewhere, so I decided to put up a couple of pics here to show people. No great planning went into the construction and it's quite a few years old now, so the design passes the test of time. The Fuzzette bought the widest flannelette she could find and sewed it to a size that more or less matched the available wall space and ask for assistance to mount it.

No great structural integrity was required so I just stapled it to a frame of 30x10 pine (no bracing) and hung it off two pan head screws driven into the wall. In use it was found to be helpful to pack out the rear with a light wading, this allows heavier pieces to be pinned to it, while small patches just cling to the flannel.
