I made up a few adjusters to see which type I liked the best: Snail cam, fabricated or billet. You'll notice the detents on the snail cam are different lengths apart to account for the eccentric circle, they move the wheel 5mm each adjustment so very easy to align the wheels, but, it was just plain ugly so that went in the bin. The fabricated one, although easy to make, just didn't turn my eye so that also went in the bin. I stepped the slot in the billet adjuster to limit the amount of scratching to the paint work, no luck there, so I milled the slot bigger and bent the legs in. The legs are 4.5mm thick so there's a fair amount of spring in them, enough for the legs to spring out when the axle is loosened resulting in very little scratching. They came out pretty good I think. I could have bought a couple of new OEM adjusters but Japanese chrome is woeful and Aussie chrome platers are simply too expensive, so the originals also found a new home in my overflowing bin.
