Pinnacle of usable motorcycles
Hello All
The recent thread on the XS motorcycle build has got me thinking.
I am a big fan of motorcycles and like some of the older models. A comment was made comparing British and Jap motorcycles.
My question is, what was the pinnacle of usable motorcycles. Or what motorcycle fits the description below.
For this I mean, be able to ride on a regular basis at Australian highway speeds, but does not need to do over the ton.
Can be easily maintained at home, easy to own, holds its value, reliable with regular simple maintenance. Not fuel injected or have excessive electronics.
A couple come to mind such as the Guzzi Ambassador, Triumph Bonneville or BMW Boxer twins.
I would love to hear your thought and why.
Thanks Steve
