I was not sure where to post this on the forum but believe this does deserve a spot in the vintage machinery section.

I am sure everyone is bored of seeing photos of "a man and his vice", however this is a bit of a special example. And I hate unboxing posts but bare with me.

I am not a die hard "Record vice" fan, my Woden vice that I bought used several years ago and restore, did what I needed it to do.

The metal deficiency inside me could not resist such an opportunity.

I have managed to get my hands on a new in the box Record No.3 vice. The 3VSB model to be exact which means it comes with a swivel base.

Slight rust on exposed metal surfaces but everything in factory condition.

There is a label on the box that says: Cowell's Building Supplies, 165 Regency Road, Broadview (the business probably closed down decades ago).

There is no indication of an actual date but there is a price tag $49.95 (I paid AUD 100 for the vice).

The following photos are just images in the sequence when I unboxed the vice:

I almost do not want to even clean it up and a part of me wants to put it back in the box. But life is too short and this is going to be my daily work horse
