Default Unknown Vintage Bandsaw Help Request

    Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen

On behalf of a good mate, I have the following request for assistance please.
My friend was gifted this bandsaw from a 97 year old cabinet maker in Perth. He picked it up today, but there are no details of the manufacturer.
    He is hoping to determine;
-The year and country of origin of manufacture
    -The manufacturers details
-A copy of an owners manual (big ask there I reckon)
    -Any other details welcome

The base is an addition to raise the height. There is a counterweight for the tensioning system. The green blade guards are wooden and appear to have been added, maybe as a update to safety.
It looks as though it was originally powered by a remote pulley systems, and then upgraded to an aftermarket electric motor.
The major components are cast, and painted black, I think updated with the green paint.
There is no manufacturer details within the casting and no specification plate.

My friend intends to refurbish it

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated, we know nothing at this stage

    Thank you

    Sincerely
    Willy

Not an exact match, but has some similarities - Invicta brand

compra e venda de maquinas e equipamentos industriais usados - Serra De Fita Vertical Invicta 600 Mm De Volante

The wheel covers seem to be referred to as Snowflake - so search Snowflake bandsaw and you will see more like this.
Boice crane bandsaws also are similar, but seem to mostly be on the small side.

    Hope this helps,

    Jeff

Never seen one - that is awesome. One thing is for sure there doesn't seem to be too many smaller old vintage bandsaws like this around the place. Heaps of 14" Taiwan made saws but we seem to be a little skimp when it comes to the smaller vintage bandsaws here in Australia.

I recently bought a little Hyco bandsaw thats a bit smaller than this recently which I intend to put onto of a bench.

I had a smaller Eze-cut bandsaw which I gave to another woodturner. There are some about.
