The Stenner has been up for sale for nearly 2 years, I saw it a while ago but thought it too expensive, the Robinson is new to Gumtree and gives you a 24" Jointer which is quite rare to find, I have made contact with the seller and he also owns quite a few Wadkin's, but I don't think the Robinson will have sectional infeed with it being an up & over. There was a Robinson 30" thicknesser yesterday that sold with a few hours on Gumtree and that was in Taren Point, so one up on VIC for NSW with that one.

Id have liked to have seen the 30" . Did it have a switch on the front for rise and fall ? And how much was it ?

There was one in Tassie a few years ago . $3 G I think . I already had my 24" and don't need another machine in my life .
Ive been collecting pictures of them though.
This is it, 30" with electric rise and fall.
There's something funny with it though . There should be a shaft sticking out that hole top left, or the cap that sits on the end of the shaft. And the hand wheel doesn't look Robinson . I haven't studied it super close but I thought it may be a Wadkin hand wheel ?

I didn't think to save pics of the Gumtree add, I was corresponding with the guy and then he just didn't reply and the next thing the add was gone, so someone must have just taken it for the asking price.

Do you know was there an option for these machines to have sectional infeed?

It seems sectional infeed was an option as well as sectional pressure bar. . Ive seen images of Wadkin sectional infeed rollers and they use springs inside each roller in four directions .
My friend who has a 1973 Robinson version of these has sectional infeed rollers and its insides are rubber . Which is falling apart on some of his wheels . They may have went to rubber later ?

My SCM S50 as sectional feed, great for feeding different stock thicknesses (like rails) in next to each other.

Cam,How noisy is your SCM I worked for a few sessions in a ‘you do it’ workshop here in Sydney that had the noisiest thicknesser I’ve ever heard.
An SCM not sure how wide but when it ran you couldn’t think let alone talk to students re their projects.
A mate had a 600 wide one and here’s a pic of the ‘instructions for’ .
Its only a photocopy but it’s yours if it’s any use.
I once picked up a 32” wide Dankerhert thicky for a mate, he sort of blanched when he saw it so we sold it on to Rob Parker up at Dunduraban.

H. What did you say I can't hear you but seriously it's not too bad, it would be much better with a spiral head. For me the S63 started to get a bit square looking so I like the design of the S50 better.

Thanks for the offer of the manual, but I managed to get a copy of the Rockwell S50 manual, which is basically the same machine.
