Default Beautiful cotton mill and metalworking gear

I've recently returned from a holiday in Japan and thought I'd share some of the old machinery in the Toyota Museum of Industry and Technology.

Apparently the 600t press was for amateurs as well...here's a 2500t monster

Glad I'm not paying the power bill for it

Could have spent the whole day there, preferably with a better camera to get up nice and close to see the detail...next trip

Magnificent. I spend 2 hours just in the steam section of the British Science museum. Could have spent more time but had the wife and grandkids with me.

Thanks for that. Will have to consider going if I'm ever in that part of Japan.
The cotton mill made me recall that I visited Waverly Woollen Mills as a school child. I'm not sure that they do tours anymore though... which is a shame.
