Default Bursgreen QJ Hand planer with slider

and slot mortiser/ borer, early sager developments era . parallelogram tables late 40s early 50s. By the looks of the saw blade location the sliding table would make a great tenoner? The saw doing the shoulders and the planer head doing the cheacks. Heads do have skewed knifes. I am often confused why machine like this were not feather developed with the take over from Wadkin.

Interesting machine, I wonder what size the saw is and the jointer looks to be about 200mm.

From the pictures it doesn't look like the table slides, the bridge guard mount and the bearing mount for the cutter block are in the way and I can't see a sliding table for the saw. There appears to be one on the mortiser.

For the hobbyist market or a very small cabinet shop I would think.

    Have fun,

Great pictures actually wondered if she existed. It doesn't look as if the table do slide. Would've been brilliant had it . Having a 1956 date and Sagar Tag as I suspected. The FS and FS2 little plainer was 6 and 9 inch does look the 9/FS size on That one . Perhaps it was a line like their other portable rolling jointers machines. Was this a recent sale

    Hi Matty,
It would depend if you'd eaten your Weeties that morning or not!
I doubt it would've been light, 1950's cast iron.

Actually it's from 2014, Sion Davey posted it on the Canadian site and him and you had a conversation about it. The only posters.

    Have fun,
