    Default Durden joiner help.

    Hi,

I purchased a old Durden Junior Joiner and came with a few extras parts and a tool. I've tried to do some research came up nothing.

Tool in question is Durden blade setter. I've got do a bit more work on it to get up to work condition. I'm still a little unsure how to set it all up.

I've got a manual. But anybody any tips would be handy and appreciated. This first big tool I've bought the shed I think I did ok for fifty bucks.

Also this my second thread post using tap talk. So I'm getting use to it quirks not sure if this be a repost sorry in advance.

    Cheers Dave

I'm a Durden virgin, so take my advice with a grain of salt. I also don't own a jointer, but I've seen enough YT vids to understand that the blade setter will be to help you get the jointer blades parallel to the bench surface, so that it doesn't take more bite off the left or right side.

Hey Dave, this is an old thread so not sure if it's still relevant to you but here's the page from the original manual (found on this site) that explains setting the blades.
