Default Durden pacemaker - is it worth buying?

I came across a durden pacemaker, which I am considering as I have been looking for a table saw - currently listed for $600AUD.

Is it worth considering purchasing this, or am I better off saving my money until I can get a half decent contractor saw (or something else)

Thanks in advance for any comments/suggestions!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I would save the money. Its only 1 HP which is way under powered for most woodworking. That and the age of it also means its way overpriced.

It is old and no parts are available but there are many still in service tt would be better than most contractor saws which essentially bottom of the line machines, I would suggest $400 would be closer to the mark

thanks for the feedback everyone. Looks like I should skip this one unless I can get it for a much lower price

    I appreciate all the feedback!

Sorry I only just spotted that its a combo machine (under all that stuff) so the jointer would be of some use. I used to have an old Ezycut combo that I bought for the jointer. It was also 1 HP and I found the saw only good for small stuff due to the power. Dont think I would pay more than $200 tops for it however.

I have owned the same model about 15 years ago. I never used the spindle shoulder but the saw is basic yet capable. It has a 3 blade cutter head on the jointer and knives are available at most saw sharpening places. A 10" blade is fine for most jobs.

As for the price I would think $250 to $350 would be reasonable.
