Default Grease cup to suit vintage band saw

I am in the process of restoring my Crescent style 32" band saw and there seems to be two grease cups missing.

open to suggestions where one might find these, if anyone has some in their shed I'm sure we could do a deal

They are “Stauffer” grease cups; depending on where the saw was made they will be either 1/4” BSP (Europe & Aus) or 1/4” NPT (US) threads.

    Thanks for the sizes
The bearings are made in England, would it be wrong to assume bsp

I’d say then that BSP is more likely.

LPR sell them as a pair for just under $30, or you might find Alemlube ones if you have a bearing supply store near you.

I need to get some too. If you take a look at eBay there is a heap of random grease cups on there - some new, some salvaged from other machines. It's probably going to be hit and miss getting the right size thou.

Being a Crescent, the saw was made in USA, but like my Canadian Preston it's been in this English influenced part of the world for so long it could have American or English threads by now.

My 30" saw has Kingfisher (Leeds, UK) No.4 grease cups (so English thread).

They're 1 3/4" (~44mm) dia. over the cap - to give you an idea of scale.

    HTH.
