That gearbox would have been good but not bothered with what I have. How does that hold down work? How does it attached?

The rod slides up/down, secured by bolt.
The, I'll call it a footplate, holds the blade guide and pressure foot.
They are not part of my parts.

Yes make sense. I haven't layed eyes on mine since moving 8 months ago. I bought it and never gave it any TLC or used it. It's on my to-do list for a restore. First thing I need to do is a make a mobile stand for it. As heavy as it is I am thinking of making a flip top mobile stand for this and a couple of grinders as a space saver solution.

WOW there'll be some weight to swing around.
Remember there's oil in the gearbox and the shafts aren't perfect. If the saw is upside down then you'll probably have oil everywhere...

Very good point - I picked this up yesterday and have had a good look at it. The size and orientation of the flip-top wouldn't prove to be the best option after all + as you say there is the oil and seals to consider which cancels this option out regardless

So, has anyone else got spare parts?
I've just picked up a Hyco scrollsaw, serial number 151, and mine is missing parts, mostly in the upper blade connection area.
Specifically the blade guide roller and how its mounted.
Also the tension adjusting screw.
I'm guessing the thread is 3/8"Acme x "x" long.
Wouldn't mind making new ones but to oem specs.
Anyone got some serious measuring skills?

Serial 151 would be a fairly early one most likely with cast legs rather than the later ones with pressed steel. Not sure if the specs are different through out their manufacturing years. I do have one of these older styles that I could measure for you, however mine is in storage at the moment. I could check it out over the weekend if no one else can do it any earlier for you.

No rush Gaza, the stand under mine is fabricated steel, most probably made by the original owner. At the moment thats where I'm starting. Grit blast and paint. Then work up bit by bit.
Whats missing will have to be identified, drawn up and machined up anew using new materials.
The hard part is staying true to the oem dimensions which means someone has to be prepared to dismantle their machine to measure up. Its a long term project, so need to fit it in with other commitments.
