    Default Jeffwood 702 thicknesser owners

I am contemplating giving my Thicky a new coat of paint and was wondering what the original factory colour would have been? The previous owner had given this one a "freshened up" green hammertone which is a little too modern and its hit and miss
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

You could try removing some of the green off a part of the machine with a heat gun, or you may find the top coat separates with a little help from a chisel . Then clean it up and take it to a paint shop where they will match it . Then you get a very close match, if not exact .

I like my original colour on Wadkin so much I'm having a go at taking all the green off the top and then touching up with a matched grey I had done at the paint shop .

    Team

Sorry for the delayed response. So I checked out the junk shop and the Jeffwood is still there. The machine is complete, less the three phase motor. Old mate who owns the shop reckons he paid $200 for it then took the motor off, he wants $150 for it by I reckon I could get him down to $75. It’s been in the weather for some time, I gave the pulley a turn and everything seems to be moving still.

It’s located in Newcastle so if you need it for parts or restoration let me know, via pm, and I will give you more details.

    Cheers stew

Thanks Stew for the "above and beyond" action to fins out about the old dear. I am tempted with the acquisition, I will have to think about it

Hi Everyone I am new to this forum and chasing some info. I have been given a Jeffwood 702 Thicknesser and would like to get it going. It is in really good condition. I am only missing two rollers that sit in the bed of the machine and allow the timber to slide through the machine. I was hoping somebody may be able to take a few photos and some dimensions of the bottom rollers in their machine so I could get a couple made? Any info would be appreciated.

    Kind Regards Brad.
