Ls barker table saw
Hey guys just after some history on this piece, latest auction find out of Victoria, it appear to have a table that maybe was once used as a dice sander that runs off the same arbour

know nothing about history, but yea gawds and little fishes, you didnt cart that all the way yourself,,, did you?
I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Possibly a boring or morticing bit fitted there, is the table height adjustable?
Ill have look thru my McPhersons cattledogs when I get time.
The were the agents for Barker and have pics of most of their stuff.
As a matter of interest we got rid of a Barker rip saw like this when I started at Sydney Uni.
Replaced it with a Wadkin Bursgreen 12” tilting arbor saw, bit more appropriate for the size of work I was doing there.

Hey Henry,
Yes the table rises and falls, now that you mention it a morticing bit of boring bit makes sense for the size of the table. Hopefully I can find some who has one so I can re create the blade guard arm so it looks the part

Here’s a pic from the Centenary cattledog.
That 1960 from memory.
Ill check out my earlier ones when I get some time.
The guard looks to be the same as the one on the 30” saw so I’ve included a closeup of it.
Mentions the boring table for your 20” saw.
