    This will be fun.

I was going to say: Going by the handwheel and locking handle (just left of centre of photo) I'll take a punt and say that's a Wadkin CC or CD (and I know you have a CC).

But on closer inspection, I don't think I'm right.

I think the other may be an LQ (don't Wadkin just love the letter "Q" ) overhead recessing machine.

    Cheers, Vann.

Vann got the LQ and Cam got the Maka. I don't remember why I bought the Maka. It must have been cheap.

I've got the answer (mainly because I have been drooling over one that has been for sale forever, but it's far too expensive for my budget unfortunately). Good score Mark, I will leave this one open for someone else to have a go at answering.

    Cheers,

Yes Rob its a tool grinder, but which one?
I've been after a LQ for ages and won this and a few other machines in a dispersal auction nearly 2 years ago. Sion Dovey of the Sagar notoriety was good enough to palletise a JTA so I could get it couriered and then he collected everything else and put them in storage. He was planning on travelling up my way and offered to bring them. That never panned out so I got them couriered. I sold a couple of machines recently because I knew these were coming. I will be pretty much full when The LQ is in my shop. That will leave a JTA, MA, CC,PK,RT, Maka and two grinders in my garden. I think theres 11 lumps in my shop

Is it an NH Universal Grinder? And is looking through the 1957 cattledog (page 95) cheating?

Time for a shop tour maybe (leaving out any further geek challenge machines of course).

    Cheers, Vann.
