Hi Marty, I've got 2 of the damn things, they are a rippa thing actually, the format is well though out, curved and straight section, small and large diameter ends. The round block of steel with the hole on the side of the table is for a straight fence. The 2 motors are an after thought.. these were originally flat belt driven from a line shaft, nice to see yours has a geared reduction motor, it's good when that oscalation runs slow. Most were early machines Lacey was a very old company, Lacey started on punt Rd Richmond and later moved to Sackville st Collingwood. Lacey made, stroke sanders, sanding and linishing machines, horizontal boaring machines, scroll saws and many more specialty machines.

Thanks for your reply and the info.

What size belts do you run on your machines? This one didnt have a belt on it.

When i wind the belt tensioner out to where I think it should be, the curved section binds on the table top, either im looking at it wrong or something needs adjusting.

What is the T handle inside the belt for? I can only turn it aboit 1 full revolution

I thought the frame for the motors looked like a bolt on option.

Hi Marty, sorry about the late reply, couldn't get to it during the week, so placed it in the back of my mind.
Any way.. 1400 on the belt size, a good abrasive company should be able to knock them up in the different grits.
I think something needs adjusting, hard to see until you have a belt on .. if your in Melbourne l could lend you one of mine to try before you order any new ones .. just to be sure.
I would say the other tee handle is for belt tracking.
