Got this machine through a buddy, table saw/shaper combo. Sliding table with about 54" of travel.18" blade with 4 3/4" depth of cut.Blade can be moved 7 1/2" side to side, and tilts at least 45 each way. 30 mm shaper and table saw shaft size.Built in Germany in 1963,bloody heavy, 1/2" cast sides on the base.3 kw 2850 rpm direct drive motor on the saw, and2.6/3.3 1730/3480 rpm motor on the shaper. Ring around shaper can be rotated 360 and is held in place with the yellow lever at the top of pic, Shaper fence fastens to this ring. I know SFA about shapers(and now I have 3) so is this common? Its dirty but everything moves nice and smooth. Sliding table runs on 2 sets of 3 bearings on a faceted top rail, and 1 bearing on the round bottom rail. The more i get into it, the more i like this oddball machine. Does anyone know anything about this beast? Ill expect a 2 page report in April, H.
