There was a 30" Robinson for sale on Gumtree, that's why I was asking, but it looks like it's been sold.

Yes I may just bring ducting up through the slab in 2 or 3 places and duct the rest around the perimeter, then that might give me more ability to swap & change

I recently stripped down a Felder spindle moulder that had been left outside in the Brisbane sun and rain for months. The table had a decent coating of rust and I couldn’t even get the spacers and the heads off the spindle, had to put them in the press. Then I made a box out of mdf, lined it with plastic and soaked the table in a double strength vinegar solution for 4 days. When it came out, I used a Stanley knife blade in a holder to scrape it off, and washed it prodigiously. Then a scouring pad on a random orbit sander, and lastly buffed and burnished it with paste wax. It came up pretty good. 4715F48D-EC7C-4AA8-B7A0-FB85E7EB7D73.jpegCDBEDA3E-A971-4B0A-8CFA-5C6F195158DA.jpegEBA0D886-D6E1-4968-8252-A8F0F2770D4B.jpeg

No it was the same model as yours, but 30" it's tag made it 1965 and it was for sale South of Sydney by a guy called Andrew, I did make contact with the Seller & he replied, however then the add was removed, I say removed after thinking about it because normally Gumtree send a message when something is sold when you have had communication with the Seller. through their message system.

I have also made contact with the Seller of the 24" Jointer/Thicknesser that you have posted and he also owns quite a few Wadkin's

I attached some stones to these sanders . One is coarse and the other is fine. Ive not tried a whole top yet but a few short bursts on some rusty cast iron with a good amount of light oil look like it will be better than sand paper for polishing a cast iron top. one stone is a bit narrow and two glued to one sander to give it some stability may bet better.

I have a heavily marked EQ spindle moulder top I may try it on. I don't think it will remove the marks but it will take the high spots off better than sand paper.
