Interested in the Polish saw, if you have any pictures of it.

There was a Robinson tennoner and a Wadkin Bursgreen 12” AGS.
And for Vann a White cut off saw.

You NEED that White 'radial arm saw' - and so do I.

They are just so... cool . I could watch the way the two arms travel through their arcs (all the time keeping the saw perfectly level) all day.

Always nice to see another Sparrow. And just as rare if not rarer a Goldie! The pic has me wondering if that colour on the Goldie lathe is original ? I just bought a can of Flat Black for My Goldie. I haven't actually gone scratching at the green on mine to see what its first colour was. It will be the first thing I do after a cuppa.

Ive seen about 10 Sparrow machines and almost every time its something completely different from the last . Like this sander is . I think the most common thing is the Buzzer . Maybe seen Three of those?
I have a Sparrow disk sander which I turned into a faceplate lathe which is still in bits since the move . That ring to hold the paper was also on it . Its now a piece of scrap waiting for another use that I keep coming across once in a while . No idea where it is atm ?

Only seen three of the Goldie copying machines / Lathes , One is with Me. This is the first wood turning lathe Ive seen .

Do you see much or any other Goldie stuff in NSW Henry ?

Just looked at the sale prices for the Polish saw and the 12 AGS !!!

The AGS is great but the Polish thing looks like a real good thing ! Wonder if it was all there and would run ?

A mate has Goldie lathe x TAFE it’s less than a metre tween from memory but solid.
Thay ended up with their factory about a mile from me in Mortlake, not sure what they were still making by then. Glue spreaders maybe?
There was a few Goldie veneer presses in the auction also, big old mothers with 4 large buttress threaded clamps.
As I said in my original post I don’t need any more ‘projects’ but the Goldie lathe was tempting. One thing that stopped me was getting it home, at 3 metres it would be too big for the ute. I used to have access to a car trailer but that’d now be a hassle.
There was a 4 spindle copy lathe, with slender Cabriole leg templates in Al.
Thats the 3rd decent auction up this way in a few weeks, still a bit of stuff out there

Here’s pics of the Ace jointer with a Surty type guard disassembled on top.

I’ve seen another Ace machine at the Armidale men’s shed which was another old ‘shop.
It was a medium size bandsaw, my old post from 2013 re Wadkin in Armidale is still here.

There was part of the fence adjustment lock missing?

A lot of this old machinery had probably been stored in one ot the dozen or so containers on site.
The company had only been at this site from 1989 but say they’ve been operating since 1934 in Leichhardt.

Iwas bidding on the big SCM spindle moulder, I stopped at $500, it eventually sold for $1309!!
