What's a second-hand piece of cast-iron worth? I've seen machines listed for ridiculous money. Others quite cheaply. My son (he's a flamin' economist) says the value of an item is what the market is prepared to pay.
This beautiful Thos. Robinson & Son Ltd ~30" bandsaw, with a 3ph, 3hp motor...

I wonder how much it will cost him to load it onto a truck and transport it to it's new home, darn sight more than a dollar, that's for sure.
