    Default Unidentified 12" thicknesser

I'm putting together my first "proper" workshop and managed to snag this lovley old thicknesser form a deceased estate (along with a Woodfast combination machine and a lovely Servian drill press).

Does anyone recognise it? The only writing or logos I can find on it are on the motor...(Australian General Electric) but the quality of the casting and heavy aluminium cover suggest its very well made.

Could be any of a dozen locally made ones from the 1950’s and 60’s. Simple machines that need only some grease and oil and a bit of wax on the table, get the knives sharpened and start making mess. Make a cover for those belts first.
