It looks small, but if those wheels are 28" (=700mm) then it's certainly a decent size.

I can't help with identification, sorry. Is the frame cast iron, or is that pressed steel?

Yeah the photo defiantly gives the impression it's small.
But it's 2300mm high apparently so defiantly a substantial machine.
I have not seen it in person yet so could not say.
The seller is a nice older man but I think his hearing is poor as the phone calls are quite hard to get much information across. He also doesn't know how to send pictures via text.
Just hard to see in person with current measures, especially considering I wouldn't want to pose any risk to him.

Its definitely very similar, but the c section frame is quite different. Thanks for your thoughts

If you zoom in on the photo of the blade guides the back one has a distinctive emblem on it as well, that’s a good clue. Just have to find someone who knows it.

You are onto it with the emblem! Someone said similar on OWWM. Its a centauro, an Italian made machine.

So it is a pressed steel frame, as Vann thought it might.

A mate has an earlier cast iron framed 24” one up in Brisbane.
Lovely machine and amazingly compact for its capacity.
There was a bigger Saw with a huge throat capacity slod from a Patternshop here in Sydney a few years back. I may have a photo somewhere.
Be interesting to se how that pressed frame damps the vibes.
They changed that design later, I’ve had a watch on a few sites and the later fabricated ones are the only ones that show up.
Those Jolly Saw guides are on my Wadkin Bursgreen 20” fabricated saw.
I think they were used on a lot of saws.

Do you find that guide type works well?

In my research have definitely seen a bit of the newer fabricated ones around. Alot more information on them.

I am really happy about the size, should be as big as I ever need and closer to the 32inchers fhen say a 20inch that might leave you always wanting a bigger one.

Yeah really keen to see how smooth it runs.

There is currently one of those on sale not all that far from me (well, a five hour drive). They want the equivalent of around $1000 though, which is more than I’ve got lying around. And then there’s the transport and so on. I suspect that my brother-in-law might lose his sense of humour if I ask him to collect it for me. Either that or he’ll collect it and keep it!

Edit I took some screen-captures to preserve the pictures for when the listing gets removed.

Thanks for posting the pictures, cool to see more of them out there. Definitely a bit of a drive.
