Problem solved, thanks gents. I did a quick crosscut on a piece of 90x19 bluegum just to see what she cuts like, and crikey these machines have a lot of power. I don't think it noticed that there was any wood in the way of the blade at all. I think that I will enjoy using this machine when the new saw blade arrives.

Yes that'll do it (although you can swap any two - red and blue, or red and yellow - which ever is most convenient).

    Edit: Oops, too late.

Bodhan raises a good point too.

The new saw 350mm negative rake saw blade has arrived from carbitool. Looks awesome! Where did you guys buy the bush to reduce the 38mm bore down to the 25.4 needed for the BRA?

I'm still using the blade that came with my Wadkin CK - 1" bore - positive rake .

However when I bought additional blades for my SCMS - I couldn't get the bore I wanted (5/8" from memory) but the guy who supplied the blades gave me adaptor bushes at no extra cost.

You could talk to Carbatec and ask for either the correct bore or a bush.

    Cheers, Vann.
