Wadkin CK "Shorty"
Here's something I've not seen before.

It's a "short" Wadkin CK radial arm saw - without the big cast-iron stand that supports the saw and its bench. Well actually it's a Wadkin-Bursgreen BCK radial arm saw, that is, a CK made after they shifted CK production from Green Lane to one of the former Bursgreen factories, and before they dropped the design for the new BRA radial arm saw - a product of the Bursgreen design team and manufactured at a former Bursgreen factory.

Taking a stab here, I think the 57xxx indicates the year the batch of machines was commissioned, while 58xxx indicates the year this machine was completed.

The front of the blade guard, or "door" shows the "Wadkin-Bursgreen" name cast in, while the back of th blade guard shows the origins of the design with its "CK" pattern number.
MEM switchgear (the Green Lane built machines had Brookhirst switchgear).

Taking a closer look at the machine, it looks like a standard CK, right down to the base of the vertical column and casting. Only the base plate looks unique to this "short" or "bench" version of the CK saw.

That is awesome - where did you see this little number? Would make a great saw that doesn't take up much of a foot print in the workshop.
