We had one of these, it lived in a dark corner of the workshop which I was never allowed near, as a 10 year old, it was an intriguing machine, lots of heads(square) and belts going everywhere. I remember the first time the old man started it up, when I was there, it was truly frightening. It sounded like an angry squadron of hornets. And during Christmas holidays, my job was to go over it and clean every bit of dust off and grease and oil it. Later, as I got older, I learned that it was no longer permitted to be used, because of the lack of safety guards and such, but of course, the old man wouldn’t get rid of it, he did eventually, but I wish I still had it now, it was wonderfully built. I think it was quite old because it only had one massive motor, and everything was run on 2” flat belts. They take up a lot of room though.
