Wadkin FR 4 (4 Sided Planer)
Looking for information on this 4 sided planer, it's very rusty, so much so it may cost too much to save.
I have looked online and can't find any info on the FR 4, the Serial Number looks to be from 1965 and it's quite a small unit, so would be good to bring it back to life, BUT did I mention the rust

The rust will clean up nicely on cast iron parts. The steel parts could be more of a problem. It would take some dedication to save that - you'd want to pick it up at a very reasonable price.
That's an unusual treatment on that tag. That type were always stamped (that's the first I've seen like that), and no Test No.It's almost as though it's a product of one of the former Bursgreen factories (in which case it would date to 1973) - but with a Green Lane tag.
Cheers, Vann.
P.s. I know nothing about FR 4-siders.

Risky buy - how could you determine if it's complete? Parts would be a major issue.
