    Default Wadkin GC4 +1

I had another Wadkin join the Family this week a 1989 (which makes it the newest Wadkin I own) 4 side, 5 head throughfeed Planer/Moulder.

This one comes with the metal cover (not sure when they changed to fiberglass) it seems quite complete and I am hoping to get it fully working and brought up to speed with Spiral cutterheads, I also want to buy two side and one top profile moulding heads.

I am on the lookout for a template following profile grinder, if anyone sees one advertised anywhere, please let me know.

I want to turn it into a money printing machine, through offering moulding profiles not available off the shelf, there are a few profiles I used to use a lot in the UK which were popular, that I don't see here in Australia (so I will look to reproduce these and see if there is a market for them), plus anyone wanting hardwood mouldings (which are normally only available in softwood) or want to match existing period mouldings for a house reno.

Wow, that's some big beastie. If I bought one of those I'd have to throw out every other Wadkin I own to fit it in my garage/workshop .

That was well timed. I only put up the dating information for that period, less than two weeks ago.

    Thanks for the tag photo.

I always like to take advantage of the information you so kindly supply and try and find machines accordingly

As far as moulders go this is quite compact even though it comes with the straightening infeed option the length is 3575mm and my Super 500 is 2810mm, so less than 800mm longer than a commercial jointer.
