    Default Wolfenden 10" Table Saw

Been looking at table saws in the 10" range and came across this old post: Wolfenden 10inch Tilting Table saw.

It was immediately appealing to me for a number of reasons:

    1) It is old enough to tick the vintage box - don't have much love for new stuff
    2) It looks like a good substitute for a Wadkin AGS
    3) It has a router plate insert - On my list of '101 things I want to build' is a router table, but with this saw it has it built in - not bad!
    4) It looks solid as a brick s...h....

Anyone have much experience with one? Or know of any up in around Brisbane?

I use to own the grey and red one until l sold it to my good friend Peter McBride "lightwood" who doesn't post here on this forum any more, which is a shame because he is a very knowledgeable fellow.
I had sellers regret when l sold it, because it was a very handy little saw, so l found another one in South Australia, which l still have.
These's little saws Charl are based on the US made delta unisaw and run the same tilt mechanism and outer body metal work, l think wolfenden cast their own top and fence.
Great little saw and actually a smaller foot print that a wadkin Bursgreen AGS.

I have a Delta Unisaw spare atm.
Its about 10 years old and never been used, still had the US plug on it.(It is 240v)
    Also an AGS.
I’ll put up some pics if there’s any interest.

AGS is in bits, has a both side wings and the sheet metal right hand extension table.
Also a sliding table from a BRT which could be adapted as the bolt spacing on long chrom rail are the same.
New pinion for the fence adjustment.
    3 phase motor.
Delta Unisaw has made in USA on it, don’t know what this means.
Its stashed in the back but a few pics plus on of what it looks like together.
    Enjoy

Thanks Henry - I think I have fallen in love with the Wolfenden. Some tabletop overhang would have been nice but not that big a deal given the space on the right where the router insert is.
