Paul we could pound this into some derogatory comments, but I won’t go there.
That’s way above my Lindquist bench mark.

A lively discussion on nothing particular except for Bob's rascally saw and Matt's saw handle taking the gloss of things:

The subject of beer commercials did surface and the distinct lack of JP Corona commercials: Can't think why. So for those of you who feel starved for alcoholic content have a gander at this:

Beers from the Arctic Ocean - Underwater matured beers - North & Beyond Ep. 8 - YouTube

One of a series of "adventures" north of the artic circle: This one was the conclusion of brewing beer from glacial ice and fermenting it deep in a fjord.

I'll be bringing a 50ft blackwood tree that is at about 45deg at the moment. Nice tree fairly straight and clear. It will fall in a day or two, it might hit the new deck belonging to next door. Its his tree. What about the subject tonight of free wood.
    I am learning, slowley.

Ummm. I'm not sure Pagie's tree will fit on my screen.

    Matt

As you will not make it this evening, here is the highly sophisticated wooden handle polisher that I use:

    P1070875 (Medium).JPGP1070874 (Medium).JPG

It is an automotive style car polisher that is fairly low speed. 10" diameter with a sheepskin bonnet. The relatively thick shape allows the curvy bits to be polished too with the edge. Very expensive but worth the $22.

If you think this is cheating a little, may I draw your attention to this little clip from the Disston factory. View the polish scene around the 40sec mark. It dates from 1920.

HD Stock Video Footage - Specialty saw blades being manufactured in the Disston plant at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I have posted this link before so it may not be a revelation to you.

Paul, first can I just bring your attention too the actual date today,
I’m fairly certain Australia has not been devised up that bad yet, that Queensland think there ahead of the rest of the nation!!!!.
Maybe ask Leanne for some help.

But more importantly your buffer certainly looks like a economy version.

Will check the Link out, thank you.

    Cheers Matt.

A good chat was had by the three of us who turned up, Paul, Pagie and me.

Highlight of he night was Pagie's "windfall" - a large Blackwood tree that came down in the recent storms. He wants to split it all up for chairmaking since it is still green.
I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

    Default Apology

Seeing that it is our 57 wedding anniversary today, I think it would be a wise move to spend the time with my wife and family
