Bread board perfect one side and dull on top - did I over plane the top (heat damage)
Hi,
New to forum. So I made a board and the bottom is the perfect effect but the top is dull. Did I over-plane the top and heat damage the timber?
Timber is Merbau and Karri. Finish so far is orange oil.
Thanks
Andrew

Did you sand to a different grit on the top? That might affect how the oil is absorbed.
