Default I’m looking for something and I do t know what it’s called lol

Hey guys. I am hoping that someone here can help me out. I am wanting to take a small piece of wood, no bigger than a paper towel cardboard roll, drill a hole into one end maybe 6” deep. Then what I am actually needing help with is finding a piece that I can tap into that hole and glue in place that would have a flush twist in type cap. So basically, you could unscrew the cap, drop something small into that hole and then put the cap back on.

Is this something that anyone has seen online anywhere for sale? Any help would be great!

If you have a lathe you can make this out of an old pill bottle or similar threaded plastic container. Knock out the bottom of the bottle and glue it into the hole in the rod; then insert the bottle lid into the cap piece.

Sounds like a pepper grinder or Matroyshka doll

Seriously though, there is a Japanese thing that is made of bark, plus others made of shaped staves like a little barrel.

    They seal air tight.

Can't remember their name right now (Kabazaiku?). I've a dozen of various kinds for tea and whatnot...

I was about to make a few more.

Will update this with the name and some links.

Edit 1... This is one of the dudes who makes them. He shows the technique. How taught me how he makes the banding... Kondo Taichi
Edit 2 .... Here we go. This shop explains them... TOMIOKA Traditional Japanese Cherry Bark Tea Container Japan's Best to You

Yeah I guess the end cap that I am picturing would be similar to what you would find on a pepper grinder. You guys have come up with some interesting ideas that I had not thought about, and I’m sure I’ll be able to use them to get the result I am looking for.

    I really appreciate your help!
