After you've put your luverly new toy through a few duty-cycles, I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on any strengths & weaknesses you discover. As you've shown, the 60 deg. single-iron set-up is capable of giving excellent results on cranky woods. My own experience has been that there are times when a single-iron 60* infill gave me better results than a well-tuned, finely-set double-iron (45*) setup, & times when it didn't. I have some vague theories about why, but I would rather not prejudice your own evaluations, so let's take up the discussion a year or so from now... :)
